This fish is worthy of Jehovah!

What can I say about Monty Python that has not been said
before by people a lot more cultured than I?
The…BEST…comedy…sketch…group…ever!
This little blurb is from The Life of Brian.
I like this one for the silliness of it all…men dressed
up like women who pretend they are men is one of the best
comedic twists EVER..for starters.
Absolutely splendid!

What’d I tell ya?!

A two-fer from Corky and the J-Pigs!

Now this is a treat…the tricks will come later!
Corky and the Juice Pigs have long been a staple on
shows like MadTV, Comedy Central, CBC Radio and TV in
Canada and, of course, Comedy 101 Radio!
They broke up quite a while ago but their spirit most
definitely lives on…and then some.
This video has something for the strange and twisted
crowd (yours truly) AND the Halloween lovers out there!
I am in firmly ensconced in both those camps and feel
that I have no choice whatsoever in showing this.

You don’t see groups like this around anymore…what a pity.

Never trust a puppet!

Heywood Banks is VERY good at what he does.
If you ever need a quick cheering up you could do a lot
worse than listen to one of his wonderfully eccentric
songs…he writes and performs them with gusto!
Here he is with a song about a puppet.
You can feel Halloween in the air, can’t you?

Nice one, Heywood!

I just burn and peel

One of the best stand-up comediennes on the circuit is
Maryellen Hooper, she makes me smile and I give
her lots of airplay.
I last saw her perform live at the Montreal Comedy Festival
a few years ago and was quite pleased, laughing out loud
on more than one occasion.
Here she is in all her glory!

Nice stuff!

You’re always welcome at our house

Oh my, what a find!
This is a song by the late, GREAT Shel Silverstein.
I’ve played the version that he performs on the show
many times and will continue to do so.
But this version takes me completely by surprise.
Marisa Berenson sings it…on…the..Muppet Show!
How cool is THAT?!
Check this out…

Yet another reason to love Jim Henson!

Things our parents let us do

John Heffron is a very funny stand-up comedian.
He has a certain way of looking at life that we can all
relate to, his voice and delivery make the connection.
Here he is talking about the things that our parents
let us do…or didn’t really let us, but did anyway!

I used to melt GI Joes.
If you didn’t torture them they wouldn’t talk…I had to.
