Who knocked over the lawn gnome?

Tracey MacDonald is a pretty funny comedienne.
Honing her act in Canada (there are so many funny folks
from up there) she came to the states and won the
Star Search 200,000K top prize, setting her career on
the path of fame and fortune.
I’ve been playing her on the show for a while now and her
brand of humor fits right in wonderfully.
Here she is talking about her family and other topics…

I like her!

We’re going to get Granny plastered

Lorne Elliott is a Canadian comic that is supremely talented.
As good with a tune as he is with his stand-up he has been
entertaining the masses since the 1970s.
He was a member of Free Beer, a humorous musical duo, and the
host of Madly Off in All Directions, a CBC Radio show, for
many years.
I’ve seen him perform at the Montreal Comedy Festival many
times and had a great interview with him back in the 90s.
Canadians consider him to be a national treasure, and I agree.
Here he is doing a great piece of satire…

Some oh his stand-up coming soon!

Everybody’s talking about me

Jim Infantino, the front man from Jim’s Big Ego, is a
talented musician, singer, animator and all around good guy.
I’ve interviewed him on more than one occasion and he was
very open and quite interesting to talk with.
He’s not really a comedian but like most serious artists
he has certainly made his share of funny tunes.
Those are the best ones to play, in my humble opinion,
as they tend to be labors of love and not the usual grind.
This is one of his signature songs…

I like to stick my thumb in a peach…
and just leave it there!

The Penultimate Supper!

Yes!
I finally found the version of this CLASSIC sketch that
I really love!
It’s from the Live from the Hollywood Bowl video and it’s
a real dandy.
Known as “Why Michelangelo Didn’t Paint the Last Supper”
it is a superb piece of comedy starring John Cleese and
Eric Idle.
Enjoy…

That was great!

I didn’t think it was on!

John Heffron is a funny guy, which is a good thing
considering he’s a comedian.
I have to work on my syntax.
I play him on the show and I think he’s as good as
they come…great timing, voice and stage presence.
Here he is talking about driving…

I’ve done that!
Both of them.

You ain’t getting Diddley Squat

I have a deep respect and admiration for Heywood Banks.
He started off as a folk/pop type singer, a while back,
and, after seeing the comedic light, changed his major,
so to speak. He is a very humorous balladeer and as funny
as they come. Here he is, singing a classic that I will be
playing on the show this week…

That means YOU!

He doesn’t seem to like me very much

Cool!
I got a request, for a repeat video, from a Rowan Atkinson
fan living in Australia.
Always glad to comply when it comes to a great comedy fan.
This is a very funny piece from the early 80s when Rowan
was a member of Not the 9:00 News.
The other two are Pamela Stephenson and Mel Smith who are
all but unrecognizable.
Trivia: Pamela went on to not only marry the talented
Billy Connolly but she earned a PHD in Psychology as well!
This is a great one, Rowan is on top of his game and the
others are not too shabby either…

I’m not sure if that answered the immortal question of
“Does God Exist” but it matters not.

God buried turnips…deep!

John Pinette keeps getting better with age.
I first saw him live years ago at the Montreal
Just For Laughs comedy festival, late 90s I believe.
He’s an above average comic with some killer material.
Yes, he does rely on the Fat jokes a lot but they DO work.
And quite well, I might add.
Here he is, in post Thanksgiving mode, talking about turnips.

That was a gas!

A Duet with a Klingon

Dan Hart is a talented and unique guitarist/singer that
has my undying respect for, among other things,
following his muse.
He used to be a psychologist but decided that the career of a
performing artist was far more rewarding and left that life
behind…I mean, who wouldn’t trade a superb salary, the
respect of all your peers AND the high life, FOR minimum
wage, trailer park groupies and road food?!
Me, that’s who.
But that’s beside the point, he liked my FaceBook page.
Here he is with Carla Ulbrich singing “Duet with a Klingon”.

Great stuff!

as long as it’s healthy

Garfunkel and Oates, the alter egos of Kate Micucci
and Riki Lindhomem, are a very funny duo that
specialize in humorous songs of the really bent variety.
I play them on the show and find them to be quite good.
Here they are doing a wicked send-up of women in that
oh-so-delicate condition…

I like it!
