Another Irish Drinking Song

Da Vinci’s Notebook was an outstanding four man singing group
that specialized in humorous tunes of the gut busting variety.
I lament their breaking up but am buoyed by the fact that two
of the members went on to form Paul and Storm!
Here is DVNs classic piece called…
Another Irish Drinking Song!

‘Tis a St. Patty’s Day weekend!

Just say Niiiiii

An iconic scene from one of the funniest movies ever made.
I am the proud owner of an iPad and have stuffed it with
as many Monty Python things that I could get my hands on.
The best one, in my humble opinion, is The Holy Book of Days.
It is BIIIIIG in size, at over a Gig, but it has everything!
Michael Palin had diary entries for every day, lots of scene
videos, audio, blurbs of every kind and…so…much…more!
This be one of them…

Love it!

A very stressful week!

Jim Infantino, lead guy and brains behind Jim’s Big Ego is
a very talented man…musician, singer, composer and Flash
animator are all things that he does quite well.
I interviewed him a couple of times during the 90s (sigh)
and he was gracious and friendly.
This is his signature song, in my world at least, and I do
believe that he did the animation.
Welcome to…Stress!

Nice one!

An aisle full of nails

Maryellen Hooper is a top notch comedian, one of the funniest
stand-up artists on the circuit right now.
I play her on the show because she really makes me laugh.
Her material is based on the average, everyday lives we
all lead…frustration, love, families it’s all there.
This is a nice one about her husband’s tool fixation…

I hope she puts out more recordings, I’ll play them!

I Like to act stupid

Mike Baldwin is a really good stand-up comedian that I’m
giving some serious air time to.
Laid back, not too profane and very funny make for a good time.
Here he is talking about friends, cops and stupidity…

More to come!

The Late Great Benny Hill

Alfred Hawthorne Hill, Also known as Benny Hill, was a
very funny fellow indeed.
His long running television show was the stuff of legend.
Known for its beautiful women, bawdy humor and silly, but
very funny sketches, it ran from 1955 to 1991 in various
incarnations.
Here’s a good example of what you could expect to see…

I loved watching his show when I was younger!

I don’t get no respect

Jacob Rodney Cohen!
The life of the late, great Rodney Dangerfield is one of legend.
He certainly had his ups and down but overall he created some
classic stand-up comedy, one liners that will live on for ages.
He was doing well, then couldn’t find work during the sixties.
Then he hit it big again…Movies, HBO Specials, more movies.
Not bad when you consider that he was so deep in debt in the
1960s that he was forced to sell aluminum siding for a living.
He performed his craft for over 40 years until his death in
2004, his headstone says
“Rodney Dangerfield…There Goes the Neighborhood”

He got respect.
I still get requests for him on the show!
