I’ve never posted anything this large before but this is worth it!
This is what started it all for me, the original BBC series from
the early eighties. The characters, plot development and acting
are superb, with lots of quotable lines that live on long after
the series came to a close.
Marvin is a hoot, part #2 tomorrow…

The Babel Fish
This is as good a place as any to start when it comes to
the genius of Douglas Adams and his superb Hitchhikers
Guide to the Galaxy series.
Think of this as Rosetta Stone only in the shape of a squishy
little fish, CRAMMED into your ear, until fully absorbed.
By God, I enjoyed writing that…
Marvin the Paranoid Android
For those that love Douglas Adam’s Hitchhiker’s Guide
to the Galaxy you’ll find this entertaining.
I have seen the original 6 episode BBC television series and, to me,
it is far superior to the movie that came out later.
Not that the movie is bad mind you.
This is the voice of Stephen Moore, the original Marvin from
that series, and he really has it down cold.
As much as anyone Marvin was a very integral part of that story line…
One Thing Led to Another
This is a short but superb piece of stand-up by Brian Regan.
There’s a reason why this guy is one of the best of all time…
Money
Paul Frees, the legendary voice artist, had an alter ego.
Big Jim Buchanan was his name and MONEY was his game…
Economics Class
This is a great slice of Rodney Dangerfield’s film career.
From the movie Back to School, it’s humorous because it’s
true to life…
College
This is the performance that was used for his Live at the Hasty
Pudding Theater recording, an absolute comedy classic.
Some great lines here…
Killer Rabbit
Funniest comedy troupe that ever lived?…check!
Iconic scene?…check!
Soiled armor?…Check!
Run away, run away…!!!
Rabbit Valley
The Four Postmen with a funny song about the hoppy things
that bring you eggs and undercooked Easter hams…
Stand By Me
Oh my, this is a dark one!
I had to watch this twice and I’m still not convinced that this
was done by the Muppets.
It certainly does have it’s funny moments…
