Don’t Get Killed

Andy Breckman was a very funny man long before
he became famous in the world of television.
He would perform songs that were off the wall
and quite humorous, I latched onto him when he
was promoted by a Vermont record label and never
looked back.
Here’s a piece he performs in front of a live
crowd for his Don’t Get Killed recording…

Blues Brothers Diner Scene

I’m going to spotlight a few of these this week for
various reasons.
A HUGE RIP to Aretha Franklin, who some consider to
be the most talented female singer of the last few
decades, she was certainly one of the most beloved.
Matt Guitar Murphy and John Belushi no longer grace
our senses, and I salute their contributions to the
world at large.
This is a great slice of a classic cult film that
heralds much of what we hold dear…great musicianship,
superb humor, and characters that bring a smile to our face.
What other flick has this combination of talent?
More to come…

I Am a Thoughtful Guy

Rhett and Link with a song about compassion and empathy!
Love the beat and the lyrics.
Okay, maybe just the lyrics, the beat is bad Casio.
But you get the idea.
A great comedic duo with talent to spare.
I love how they’ve gotten really good at both sketch
comedy and musical mirth, nice stuff.
They are thoughtful, I’ll give them that…

On This Day in History

Pee Wee Herman, aka Paul Reubens, was born back in 1952!
Lots of talent in that goofy little package.
He’s had his own television and stage show, Pee-wee’s Playhouse,
a cult phenomenon and then some, that was enjoyed by millions.
A couple of cool little movies that did quite well also made
him a household name.
Hard to believe that he’s 65 years old!
Happy Birthday, Paul, may hope you have many more!
A great scene from a strange and entertaining movie.
Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure, the fat, rich kid gets it…
