to be one of the founding fathers of the genre.
Having said that, his only number #1 hit was this gem
from 1972 written by Dave Bartholomew.

I’m very sad to hear of the passing of Paul Reubens.
He was a very unique comedian, especially his Pee Wee Herman
persona, I loved his manic energy and his child like demeanor.
He seemed at once quite innocent, and yet thoroughly irritating.
This is from his hit flick Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure 1988.
I enjoy watching this scene for the reasons mentioned above,
I also like the doorman, the bathtub, and the oversized fixtures!
Gotta love that energy…
