The Light at the End of a Long, Dark Tunnel…

A classic from the late, great Jerry Reed.
Actor, singer, musician and all around nice guy.
Jerry is one of only four guitarists awarded the
Chet Atkins Certified Guitar Player (CGP) during
Chet’s life.
He starred in a few Burt Reynolds movies in
the 1970’s, roles that I loved him in.
This piece was created to show the world that
smoking is a very bad habit to be avoided at all cost.
Jerry eventually died from a lung condition caused by
smoking, he knew long before that a stern but humorous
warning was his way of saving a few lives.
He enjoyed performing this tune, you can hear it in
his voice, as do we…

Zoltan Kaszas with a pretty accurate look at dogs and cats
and the folks who tolerate them.
I have had both in my life, there are things to like about
both.
Personally I’d love to have a three hundred pound hamster as
a pet, the stares alone would be worth the price of admission.
Of course there would have to be some mandatory potty
training involved here…

Da Yoopers with a tune about deception, avoiding
blame and casting into the reeds.
All the fun stuff!

An absolute classic by Kathleen Madigan.
Everything she talks about and alludes to
is pretty much true, only the names have
been changed to protect the innocent.
Some great visuals here…

A classic from the late, great Meri Wilson.
Mid 70’s she scored a hit with this double-entendre
laden novelty tune.
Followed it up with Peter the Meter Reader.
Gotta love stuff like this, makes the world go ’round…
