Trust Issues?!

Jim Gaffigan with a tale of ursine awe.
He was incredulous at first, then credulous,
battled with a touch of skepticism for a
while then caved and ate it all up with a spoon.
He waffled, wonder if he had any maple syrup.
Jim saw a bear, that’s the important thing here…

This was issued as a 45rpm single back in the day.
A tale of a severely depressed robot and the folks
who abuse him.
An integral, and very interesting part of the plot
Life, don’t talk to me about life…

That sounds mildly profane.
This is an interesting slice of the Douglas Adam’s
masterpiece Restaurant at the End of the Universe.
The BBC Television version consisted of six half hour
episodes, it aired in 1981 to rave reviews.
The 2005 movie was pretty decent, but I enjoyed the
BBC production even more, it fleshed out the whole
series with thorough explanations and interesting
back stories that I found really helpful.
The tough guy bodyguard in this piece is none
other than Darth Vader himself, David Prowse!

A pretty funny slice of stand-up comedy by Dan Cummins.
He’s a really good comedian, snarky as all Hell and twice
as dark…almost “Alert the Proper Authorities!” dark.
But not quite.
I am not sitting next to him on an airplane…

Sam Hinton with a grand piece of word play.
I grew up hearing a lot of these same bits.
“One bright morning in the middle of the night…”
Puns galore, and the contradictions are just wonderful…
