I was playing this on the show when it first came out back in
the mid 90s, it’s not pure comedy but it does make you smile
with some of the references.
There’s even some Twilight Zone in there…

This is a nice set by Michael Somerville, his stand-up usually
makes me laugh for all the right reasons and this is no different.
We all have an ex like this…

I play this piece on the show whenever the mood hits.
The Conception Corporation is the group, long ago
broken up, their talents live on…

This is a pretty funny song by the talented Mike Phirman.
The lyrics are dark but the sentiment is…worse!
That was me…

I’ve slowly become a fan of Myq Kaplan, when I
first heard him it was early in his career and I thought
to myself “Eh, I’ll come back later.”
I’m glad I did.
He’s got some great lines in this piece, a thinking
person’s kind of comic.
I should start playing him on the show…

A Classic Hale and Pace comedy sketch!
Pretty much sums up the state of overindulgence…

J Chris Newberg is a pretty talented guy, he does stand-up
as well as musical comedy.
This is a piece that I like to play on the show, makes for
a great theme block and brings back memories for me.
I’m not saying another word… 🙂

I love the deliberate and well timed approach that Jeff Caldwell
applies to stand-up comedy, and he’s a smart comic but doesn’t
come across as a know-it-all.
One of the better comedians on the circuit…
