character is awaiting the next morning’s firing
squad for shooting a carrier pigeon.
The Commander’s carrier pigeon…you get the idea.
This series had a ton of character, well acted and
as humorous as anything you’ll find on the telly.
I hope my firing squad is that friendly…

Dan Cummins with a great slice of stand-up that I
love to play on the show, it’s a signature piece
off of his superb Revenge is Near recording!
Good stuff…

The late, great Harry Nilsson was born back in 1941!
He of the golden voice, capable of a three and a half octave
range, he sang some absolute classics back in the 70s.
Hung around, and caused much mischief, with the late,
great John Lennon, lots of stories there.
He also had a funny bone, he performed this song for
those with a collegiate sense of humor…

I’m going to go on a small block of Rowan Atkinson
this week, one specific show where he shoots, kills,
and eats a carrier pigeon that was sent to the front
lines with orders from higher up telling him and his
men to advance towards the enemy, and certain death.
The series starts off with him sitting in the court
room, awaiting his fate, watching his associates
screw up any hope of a defense that he may have had.
I loved that whole series, watch it from the beginning.
It’s the best of British television, nothing that smart
will ever be made here, it’s a pity…
