Stupid in School
Brian Regan is one of the best stand-up comedians of all time!
To be sure some of his material is better than others, but the
top shelf stuff is as good as it gets.
Early on, when he was hungry, he was at the top of the heap.
His first recording, Brian Regan Live, is loaded with classic
material that just screams for airplay.
This is one of them, many lines that I love to repeat
throughout the day, MANY lines…
Tell Him I’m Not Home…
On This Day in History
The late, great Pete Seeger was born back in 1919!
Sadly, Pete passed away back in 2014 but his legacy
for superb musicianship and social activism will
definitely live on.
This is a live version of a song that he is
very well known for, Australia 1963…
What Are Friends For?
On This Day in History
Jerry Samuels, aka Napolean XIV, was born back in 1938!
Lots to say about this guy…a hit novelty record that
took the nation by storm back in the mid 60’s started his
path to fame and fortune.
He also figured out a way to record sound and voices
to make them sound sped up but not distorted, a higher
pitch but not faster, a breakthrough at the time.
Happy Birthday, Jerry Samuels!
I could play his infamous piece, the one that was
banned for a little bit for poking fun at the
mentally deranged in all of us but that would be low
laying fruit, we’ve ALL heard They’re Coming To Take Me Away.
Not many have heard this gem though.
It’s dark and twisted, and just a little on the scary side…
I Am Very Hangry!
Indian Food
John Pinette with an overview of a certain ethnic food
and what he doesn’t like about it!
John was a very funny man, keeping him alive and in
the minds of those of us who love comedy is a worthy
endeavor…
The Fender Amp is at Third Base
A Dying Cub Fan’s Last Request
The late, great Steve Goodman was a real talent!
Songwriting was his strong suit, but he could
certainly sing and play guitar as well.
He had a great stage presence, was very personable
and a real treat to watch live.
He had a passion for one baseball team in particular.
Even if you don’t share his love for the game check
this out, his lament is universal…
