Anyone for Archery?

This is a slice from the series Blackadder II, a BBC television
production from 1986!
I cannot say enough about the talents of Rowan Atkinson, he’s a
one of a kind performer with comedic ability to spare.
The whole Blackadder series really showed his capabilities.
He could slide from a lowlife, opportunistic lout to a
sophisticated scoundrel with royal connections like no
other comic that I’ve ever seen.
All quite entertaining, very well done and pretty funny.
Some great lines in this one…

I Was Just Jogging

I knew this piece was a classic the first time I heard it!
Michael Jr. is a superb stand-up comedian, he thinks quite
deeply about what he jokes about, that much is clear.
He’s a religious man, but one of the things I like about
him is that he doesn’t preach on stage, he doesn’t need to.
His demeanor and stage presence are well established and
quite an asset.
I didn’t know he made a video of the joke until just recently…

A Room with a View

A splendid slice of tomfoolery from Fawlty Towers, the wonderful
John Cleese television program from the BBC!
This is a great scene, John is at his best when he’s on top
of his intellectual game and this piece has that in spades.
British acting, and humor, at its finest…
