Hunting

Tim Young talks about his father, and hunting.
It’s that time of year around here, hunting
season just started for most of the state,
and I couldn’t be more annoyed.
Labor Day weekend falls after the first day
of hunting season and that prevents a lot of us
who enjoy the great outdoors from hiking,
mountain biking and reaping the benefits of
getting lost in nature.
Tim’s a funny stand-up comedian, I’m going to
look into getting some of his material for
the show.
He has some great lines here…

On This Day in History

Jane Curtin was born back in 1947!
One of the original Saturday Night Live
Not Ready for Prime Time Players, back when
SNL was funny, she stayed with them until 1980.
She went on to star in Kate & Allie and 3rd
Rock from the Sun, above average sitcoms in
the 80’s, winning Emmys on both shows.
She has certainly earned all the accolades
bestowed upon her, a steady comic with a
loyal following.
Happy Birthday, Jane, may you have many more!
This is from a classic sketch with Dan Aykroyd
…Point/Counter Point!
Some of the names are dated but the humor is
most certainly there…

Being Fat Has it’s Benefits

Josh Sneed can be a really funny stand-up comedian!
I don’t say that to be snarky, it’s just that I’ve seen
him when he was not on top of his game, and like so many
other comics it was a bit of a letdown.
Having said that this bit is pretty good, his timing is
spot on and his general performance is right up there
with his best.
He actually gets a bit self deprecating, and it works
quite well.
The candle he talks about at the end was identical to one
that I received as a gift for Xmas a while back.
And yes, if you need your bedroom to smell like that you
might indeed have a problem…
