Now…Scream!

Kathleen Madigan with a very funny piece on being
careful what you name your children!
She has been one of the best for a while now and I
don’t see anything slowing her down anytime soon.
Off of her newest recording “Bothering Jesus”…

The holidays are over, thank you very much.
This year shows some promise for stand-up
comedians, I am very happy with the new ones
so far, lots of great material!
I played a piece by the immensely funny Lorne
Elliott, I’ve heard it a hundred times and I still
laugh out loud whenever I hear it.
If you ever get a chance to review his “Ladies
League of Community Values” bit please take
a few minutes and soak it all in.
I’m trying to find out more about an entity that I
love to play on the show, HYULP, but the body of
info that I am looking for is eluding me.
“Fat Block” reigns supreme this week…I know, low
lying fruit, but I did have a “Babies Block” as well.
Yeah, not much higher…but it WAS funny, so there’s that.
One of my favorite songs of all time was spotlighted,
“Cloud 9 Motel” by a once very popular band out of
the Massachusetts area called Farquahr.
I actually received a copy of that gem from a real fan
from Australia, he deserves my thanks and praise.
What else can I say about Cy Amundson that I haven’t
already stated, he has such a way with a story that I
think he very well may be one of the best ever Stand-up/
Storytellers out there, this weeks bit is VERY good.
Lots to like…

Shane Mauss is a darned good stand-up comedian!
When he’s on he is a treat to watch.
He has some bits that I consider classic, and he’s
not been around that long.
This is a good piece about sidestepping that dreaded call…

MC Mr Napkins (then) with a catchy rap about
having what it takes!
Zach Sherwin (now) is a talented guy, not only
in the rap department but his abilities in making
a cool little video and presentation are quite good
as well.
Gladys Kibblemuncher (tomorrow) has his own
YouTube channel and is well ensconced in his own
comedic world with many fans and devotees.
I play him on the show, and post his more visual
pieces with glee, some great stuff here.
Give it a try, if you don’t like it I’ll refund your investment…

The Frantics with a humorous, yet annoying, look
at those other folks that you have to stand in line with!
A wonderfully wacky Canadian comedy troupe with
talent to spare, I love these guys, I play them on the
show whenever I can.
Wonderful stuff…
