Russian Roulette

This is an interesting comedy sketch, from
a mid 1960’s recording called Cartoons in Stereo
by Cy Harrice and Bob Prescott!
It was primarily a stereo test record put out by Radio Shack, mono had been king and the stereo aspects
were still in the intriguing stage.
The back and forth here is humorous, literally…

On This Day in History

The multi-talented Christopher Guest was born
back in 1948!
His comedic pedigree is unmatched in modern
comedy, he’s done it all.
He is an accomplished musician, actor, comedian,
director, writer, and a real British Lord!
Not to mention, husband of Jamie Lee Curtis!
Was one of the original National Lampoon Radio Hour
contributors, part of the Lemmings comedy troupe, the
guitarist for Spinal Tap, a member of Saturday Night Live,
He played Count Tyrone Rugen in The Princess Bride and
is the husband of Jamie Lee Curtis.
He also acted in and directed a few Mockumentaries that he
began back in 1996.
And I really could go on, he’s got quite a resume’.
Did I mention he was married to Jamie Lee Curtis?
Happy Birthday Christopher, may you have many more!
He plays the crooner in this one, serenading the love birds…

I Hate When that Happens

This is a funny piece that Christopher Guest did with
Billy Crystal back when they were both on Saturday
Night Live, circa 1985!
SNL was losing it’s touch by then, somewhat funny
if you were under the influence, or just woke up
from a decades long coma, but it still had flashes
of comedic brilliance like this skit reveals.
Christopher had already married Jamie Lee Curtis by
this point, the fact that he signed onto a dying television
program that had seen much better days mattered not.

Dealing with Snakes

Andy Woodhull is a pretty talented stand-up
comedian, lots to offer in the humor department.
He has a style all his own and does quite well with it.
He comes off as slightly exasperated, but bemused.
His wifey has him jumping.
Andy is Beastmaster, kinda…
