Think Nothing of It!

A brilliant video with a message from Jon Lajoie!
Jon’s a very talented man, he can be a bit dark at
times but all’s good.
This piece must have taken forever to produce, it
is very well made and quite intelligent, snarky even.
And I do likes me some snark.
A nice effort, though there’s one guy that didn’t think so…

As promised, a snippet of The Hitchhiker’s Guide
to the Galaxy!
This is from the original BBC Television 6-part series
that aired back in 1981.
I saw this before I read the book and saw the flick.
It was before CGI or any decent special effects but
that just adds to the atmosphere, it was a superbly
acted and wonderfully narrated series that I highly
recommend, a total of six half hour episodes.
In this scene their space ship is being attacked by a
hostile planet, nukes are heading their way and they
cannot out maneuver the missiles.
Their only solution?
Something called the Improbability Drive!
Big red button (what else?), desperation (of course), and
a person that has no idea of what he is doing all make for
an interesting solution to their present dilemma…

Brian Regan with a very funny take on the news
and the people who listen to it!
Some great lines here, with a bit of self reflection
thrown in for good measure…

This magnificent piece of art is by the Australian
band The Avalanches!
It is so many things, all at once, it’s hard to describe.
It put a huge smile on my face on one level, on
another it made my soul ache.
Powerful, beyond words.
I really like these folks, nobody else like them…

Thug Notes Summary & Analysis!
This is hilarious!
An accurate, if slightly skewed, overview of Douglas
Adams’ classic novel as told by Sparky Sweets Ph.D.
I will post some of the scenes from the television series
and flicks during the week, I thought I’d start with this
for those folks who have never seen or heard it.
As I said, slightly skewed, and if you are familiar
with this stupendous story you’ll love the flavor
of this fine summary.
Some minor profanity, none of which runs afoul
of FCC rules and regs, but you may want to hose
Grandma down lest she burst into flames…
