Split Cheek Seating in Style!

My word, is this guy funny!
I loves me a good shtick, and this guy has one.
Kellen Erskine has that laid back, low level
snark down to an art form, seriously.
And he is quick on his feet, he recovers well
from any audience outburst, he actually
seems to be better for it.
I can only think of a very few stand-up comedians
that can even come close to what this guy has
going for him.
Some absolutely superb lines here…

I hit the Canadian comedy hard this week.
The comedic production from the Great
White Nord is quite pronounced, some of
the best on the planet actually.
I got a small counter-cultural block going.
Some very funny stand-up as well.
I laughed anyway.
Played some Zappa, I’m not sure that name
is familiar anymore.
Time goes by, tastes change, what used to be
humorous might not be so in this day and age.
I might be totally wrong but I’m a…
If you know Zappa you’ll get that.
A good show, no animals were injured, babies
slapped, or undies wedgied in the making of.
That I could tell…

Nobody does a humorously silly song like
Heywood Banks, he’s one of a kind.
I interviewed him at the turn of the millennium,
he started off as a serious folk singer of sorts and
he slowly realized that his witty between song
banter was garnering more applause and
positive audience response than his performances.
He has since revamped his approach, his songs are all
novelty/comedy pieces and his banter has gotten
even funnier, he is now considered to be a pure comedy
artist of great repute.
Definitely an eccentric, without a doubt a very talented man.
Some great lines here…

A 1968 classic from Dan Rowan and Dick Martin!
The role these two played in keeping things
current and humorous in the 60’s and 70’s cannot
be overstated, their hit television show, Rowan and
Martin’s Laugh-in was the coolest thing on TV.
This bit is slightly dated but still quite funny and
very informative.
Dan Rowan plays the straight man to Dick Martin,
and he talks a mean bumblebee…

Off of the Mr. Universe recording, Jim Gaffigan
talks about those bulging folk who take up way
too much room on city transportation.
He’s a funny man, sometimes a bit too laid back
for my taste but he is a consistent stand-up
comedian with a good stage presence and a
healthy assortment of humorous observations.
I used to work at a fitness club, I can relate to
just about everything he mentions here…
