Dose of Reality

Daniel Tosh is one of the best stand-up comedians
currently on the circuit, he’s also on my Top
Ten of All Time list.
I do receive a bit of grief for stating that, mostly
from a vocal minority that don’t really appreciate
great stand-up comedians.
He is a bit misunderstood, he has taken irreverence
to a level that nobody has ever seen before, it is often
mistaken for being hateful and polarizing but nothing
could be further from the truth.
He has brought snark firmly into the comedic limelight
with a mastery that takes my breath away.
He is one of the few comics that can make me laugh
almost every time I watch him perform, at the very least
he makes me think about his material in ways that I
never do about any other comedian.
As good as he is in an audio only format, radio being my
favorite medium, his facial expressions and general
mannerisms really add to the overall performance.
Seeing him live is the total package!
Some classic stuff here, for the graduates…

Catbox

The Four Postmen with a humorous look
at a typical feline lavatory.
Where Mittens makes the Tootsie Rolls!
My mentally challenged cats would rather
use the house plants.
They saw me do it ONCE…

Sarah Cynthia Sylvia Stout

A classic poem from Shel Silverstein!
Off of Where the Sidewalk Ends, a 1984 release
of awe and wonder, especially if you were a kid
at the time.
Shel really was something special, his talents
were many, directed towards all of humanity.
Poet, author, cartoonist, musician, singer, composer,
the list of his abilities and accomplishments is rather
large, and of a very high quality.
He is remembered, and highly regarded, by many
folks from all walks of life.
Now take out the @#$%^& garbage…

Lines Drive Me Crazy

The late, great John Pinette was a superb
stand-up comedian of immense talent.
He may be gone but he’s not forgotten.
I was fortunate to be able to see him live
at the Montreal Just for Laughs comedy festival
on a few occasions, he always made me laugh.
This is a shtick that he used towards the end of
his career, line removal with extreme prejudice…
