Pwned!

A great bit by Juston McKinney, off of his
2010 A Middle Class Hole recording.
New Hampshire’s own, a darned good
stand-up comedian with snark and timing
to spare!
I interviewed him a couple of years ago and
found him to be friendly and engaging.
See him live if you can, very much worth
your time.
One little naughty bit, rhymes with orange,
towards the end…

A fun show this week.
No blocks, just a straight ahead, no frills,
your Mama might be listening, where the
hell are my pants?! type of show.
There were very few casualties.
Only a little blood was drawn.
Mine, I bent down to pick up a dropped
item and banged me noggin’ on the
control board.
I wish I was kidding.
It was interesting to play some of Emo Philip’s
early material from the mid 80’s.
It was really slow and methodical, not the quicker
paced Emo that is currently on display.
Still brilliant but almost too slow to be enjoyable.
I can’t help but think that this is done by artists
that don’t have enough material to fill out a
full show, slow it down and stretch it out.
An eclectic compilation, tried and true…

A real treat from the Reverend Billy C Wirtz!
He’s teaming with the award winning bluesman
Victor Wainright on keyboards.
A live version of an older person’s lament.
They both toured together for a while, and they killed.
I’ve been playing Billy for years on the show, one of the
best novelty song performers I have in my library.
Turn the sound up just a little, the volume is a bit low.
Who’s your granddaddy?

Kurt Weitzmann is a very talented fellow.
He’s been a stand-up comedian, producer,
actor, and playwright.
Some of his comedy sketches are as good as it gets.
This is off of his 2003 “Talented” recording.
Dark, very dark indeed…

Zoltan Kaszas is a very funny stand-up comedian.
I started playing him on the show about a year ago
and he really fits right in.
He’s snarky, has lots of spunk, and his timing is excellent.
And he has great hair!
I am jealous.
To be fair, his material is always interesting and quite good.
I wouldn’t go canoeing with him dressed to the nines though…
