This piece by British comedians Hale and Pace
pokes fun at the oblivious among us.
That could be me, I’m not sure.
There ya go!
I really appreciate humor from across the pond,
it tends to be more cerebral and insightful.
Hale and Pace had their own television series
for many years and picked up a huge following
along the way with their top notch comedy sketches.
Norman Pace stars in this one.
We all know someone like this…

Can’t We Bond on Land?!

Passing Gas
I’ve been playing John Wing on the show lately.
He’s a funny guy, has all the peripherals that you
need to be a great stand-up comic.
Canada has produced some fine comedians over
the years and John is no exception.
I remember seeing him at The Montreal Comedy
Festival back in the 90’s and I really liked what I saw.
This bit is a little over the top, almost too much, but
when I find myself laughing out loud at a piece I
ignore a lot of the little warning signs and jump in
with both feet.
What a strange idiom.
He is very funny, I’ll be posting more of him in the future…
Let ‘er Rip, Oh Wise One!

Randolph Got a Haircut
Kenny Young & the Eggplants with an ode to
those that mow the lawn.
So to speak.
I love these guys, a great sense of humor and
musical ability to spare, this Brooklyn based
band gets much air time on the show.
A list of all the good things than can happen, and
more importantly, all the bad things that won’t
when you cut the grass.
So to speak.
Sweep the floor when you’re done…
Then Duck…

Pete and Bob: Things that Have Things Written on Them
A low key, whimsical look at every day life
through the eyes of The Vestibules.
I love these guys, I have seen them perform
at the Montreal Comedy Festival and became
quite a fan of their humor.
They gave me a great interview and a show ID,
class acts and talent to spare.
In a strange sort of way this piece makes sense…
Kitty has Shower Skills

Poverty Doesn’t Buy Happiness
Daniel Tosh is one of the best stand-up comedians on
the circuit, has been for a while, and deservedly so.
His shtick is irreverence and snark, with an indisputable
intelligence that very few comics possess.
The irreverence part of the equation lets him do things that
other comedians cannot do, he sets such an artificially high
bar that you know whatever he says is over the top and
a parody first and foremost.
That’s the secret to his humor, it’s outrageous but you know
it is, and you laugh at it, because it is.
Even when he gets too close for comfort, as it were, he
brings you to the edge for a reason.
Here he is at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival early in his
career, almost twenty years ago, showing some material
that he later used for various recordings he’s since released.
Did that even make sense?
It’s funny, go for it…
Man Has a Point…
