Cul De Stuck

Juston McKinney makes me proud he’s from
New Hampshire, he’s a really funny stand-up
comedian that I love to see live.
He has mastered the snark, one of the most
powerful of all comedic applications.
He found a style that works for him, slightly
miffed and brimming with sarcasm.
And that’s how I go through life as well.
You stay with a winning formula.
Especially if it’s the only thing you know.
He’s right about the snow, this place can
wear you down and out.
I’d still rather shovel snow than mow the lawn…

Comedy 101 Radio 9.5.19 Labor Day!

Labor Day show!
A Blue Collar affair of the highest order.
Or lowest, depending on your standards.
Lots of the common man this week, roll
up your sleeves and get to work material.
I played a one of a kind piece of comedic
history with Chevy Chase and Richard Pryor
from the first season of Saturday Night Live
called Word Association, an absolute
classic from 1975.
Also aired a splendid bit by the late, great
Dennis Wolfberg, a really smart and erudite
stand-up comedian who passed away from
cancer only a few years into his career
back in 1994.
I was playing him on the show when he was
packing the clubs, I’d love to get some of his
classic material in good condition, he never
released much on audio when he was alive.
I broke tradition by airing the show after
the holiday and not before.
It made sense, the way things have fallen
into place in 2019.
I don’t think I have ever worked harder
than I have this year, I’m sure a lot of
folks think that way as well.
This show is dedicated to them…

Blind Hermit and Frank

One of the funniest scenes in film history!
From Mel Brook’s classic Young Frankenstein,
Gene Hackman and Peter Boyle as the hermit
and the large green thing, respectively.
It really helps if you saw the original Frankenstein
flick from 1931, a movie way ahead of its time and
a super flick even if you don’t care for horror.
The original was superb, as good as they come, and
this spoof takes a hard hilarious poke at it.
When Mel was on top of his game there was nobody better.
I love the look on his face when he flees the shack…
