Must Have Spent…Hours!

The late, great Robbie Benoit was a talented story teller.
I love playing his material on the show.
Loaded with personality Robbie was a fighter.
He worked for many years in the Canadian Yukon mining
industry, after falling down a mine shaft he quit and took
up dog breeding and showing.
He actually won the prestigious Westminster Dog Show in 2001
with a Best in Breed Komondor.
He was diagnosed with cancer in 2005, he still toured and hosted
a radio show called “To Hell with Cancer” and carried on until he
passed away in 2007.
This is a great little story, lots of imagery…

A lovely diatribe from the immensely talented
Kathleen Madigan!
Off of her 2018 release Bothering Jesus, her take
on why it’s too late to improve and her love for
meat based alcoholic beverages.
I love the way she thinks, twisted and quite funny.
Bars are dark for a reason…

Harry Shearer provides the voices for both
Smithers and Burns in this wonderful piece.
Off of the first Simpson’s recording, Simpson’s
Sing the Blues from 1990.
These were the early days when Bart was always
a brat and Homer was usually a short fused idiot.
Thankfully the series has evolved into a more
well rounded and smarter animation.
I was fortunate enough to see the original cast
do a live episode of a Simpson’s show at the
Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival a while back.
I realize it isn’t really stating much but it IS still one of the
best things on television.
The videos were edited together by Kris Griffiths to go
with the original recording, very well done.
Do it, Do it, Do it!

This Men in Black II piece kills me!
All in all a very interesting series of movies,
still ongoing of course, the first and second are
classics for a lot of reasons.
This is an entertaining flick, keeps you wondering
what’s going to happen next.
Frank has great chemistry with J, man’s best friend
and all, especially in this scene…

Carrying over a great Labor Day piece of stand-up
with this Tommy Ryman set.
This was off of his first recording, Bath Time with Tommy
Ryman, highlighting his quirky and quite funny style.
He has honed his act, made it even funnier, keeping the
core of his shtick and adding a bit more of the eccentric.
He knows his strengths, and we are all better for it.
Call in sick, Tommy…
