A neat little scene off the Big Top Pee-Wee flick from 1988.
The grocery store guy has cornered the market in snark.
An interesting character with a meat cleaver, gotta love it!
Pee-Wee got his pickle in the end.
Wait, scratch that…

Yes…Yes I Do

What Do Women Want?
Robert Dubac loves to talk about the differences
between the sexes, I’ve been following him for years
and he is very good at it.
Smart, witty, and full of insight, lots to like here.
I have no idea what women want.
That’s going to be on my gravestone…
Sums it Up Nicely

‘Lijah the Precocious Orchard Queen
One of Don White’s finest pieces.
Lots of imagery here, some great, some not so much.
It’s all good though.
He’s an excellent story teller, both in and out of song.
The doberman won that round.
Was there ever any doubt?

Homer Tries Candlepin Bowling
This is a pretty interesting slice of Simpsons.
Growing up I was a candlepin champ, I bowled
on a money league and went to the state finals.
I loved the game, tried ten pin bowling and wasn’t
really impressed even though I was really good at
that as well.
It was invented before tenpin and didn’t become
as popular because it was a lot harder to do.
Nobody has ever bowled a perfect score of 300,
the current high single lane record is 245.
It’s harder but it’s a lot more fun.
Homer likes it better, that’s all that counts.
Some great visuals here…
Can’t Find Our Balls

Fast Food Ruined Me
Jim Gaffigan with a witty set from the Just for Laughs Festival.
He makes some strong points on the drawbacks of fast food.
Personally, I haven’t touched the stuff in decades.
I was a field tech for many years and I lived on the stuff.
The days of losing all the feeling in my arms and legs because
of additives and processed foods are long gone.
It’s wholesome tree bark, moss and heaping bowls of acorns for me.
And beer, of course…
