Comedy 101 Radio Playlist 11.7.19

I didn’t play anything new this week, mostly
older classics with some interesting rarities
that I believe the listeners would enjoy.
My block programming can get weird, and it did.
Some family stuff, a little bit of cowboy, and a
meat block to round things out.
Don’t read into it, there’s nothing there. 🙂
A small but heartfelt tribute to the late, great
Mike Nichols who would have had a birthday
on November 6th…one of my favorite skits
from Nichols and May.
A superbly done parody by Synaptic Anarchy
Playhouse, one of my all time favorite sketch groups.
Don McLean in as fine a voice as I’ve ever heard him.
Bobby Bare sings a superb Shel Silverstein piece
Kyle Kinane rules the stage, as always, but he sucks
at microwaving.
I got a couple of requests but I did the show anyway.
No, I will never get tired of that joke…

Perry Had a Pimple

I’m not really sure why but my listeners
do not like this song.
It has Heywood’s usual zeal, wordplay is
witty and well thought out, and the imagery
is as good as it gets.
I’m stumped.
Maybe it’s because it deals with a teenage
scourge that we’ve all had to cope with
during our most vulnerable times.
Too close to home, perhaps?
Perry has my sympathies…

The Puzzle

A typical Rhett and Link comedy sketch.
Is it silly?
Yes, it does have its moments.
Does it make someone look really stupid
after all is said and done?
Again, yes.
Is yo mama so fat that when she sits around
the house she Sits Around the House?
Three in a row!
You win this weeks trifecta, now please come
to the front of the bus and collect your armpit
warmed half box of Milkduds, you winner you!
The receptionist knows, they always do…
