John Mulaney with a classic bit that I love to
play on the show.
Ice T was really comic relief, serious was not
his strong suit.
A couple of low level naughty bits, pack Grandma’s
ears with bubble gum.
Great stuff…

Warm is Good

I’m It
Andy Breckman with a witty little reminder
on when to NOT play tag with the neighbors!
Long before he became famous in Hollywood
I was playing his material to adoring crowds
on the show (Yes, all three of you!).
He was unique, all of his songs tell a story
with a humorous bent to them.
This is one of those…

Blues Brothers Chase
One of the funniest moments in this
classic flick.
Nazi leader Henry Gibson and his
henchman share a tender moment.
I loved this movie, over the top and
much beloved…
Cold Doc…Real Cold

Pulled Over
It took me a minute to do the math, I was at this Emo
performance at the Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy
Festival back in 1994.
I’ve run into him many times over the years, he’s
been very gracious, giving me a great interview
with a set of show IDs that rocked.
I have always been an Emo Philips fan, and consider
him to be a very underrated stand-up comedian.
My only knock, and I consider this to be a minor one,
is there are times when his pacing is too slow.
This piece has some classic bits to it, a slow but sure
romp through the mind of Emo…
Gotta Point…

Phillipa and Denina
A superb slice of lunacy from one of my favorite
comedy troupes of all time.
I put The Vestibules on my top five list right behind
Monty Python, The Frantics, and The Royal Canadian
Air Farce.
I think it is very telling that with the exception of
the Python gang all the rest are Canadian based.
I’ve been saying it for years, The Great White Nord has
produced some fine comedy in all of the essential comedic
food groups…Sketch, Stand-up and Musical.
These two are a running gag, nonsensical but engaging
friends who have each other too navigate life with…
