Babel Fish

This is a great little slice of the original BBC Television
series Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy from 1981.
I adore this six episode series, it has all the magic and
humor of the Douglas Adams book, plus some damned
fine British acting.
The Babel Fish are an integral part of the whole
adventure as they allow the user to understand any
and all languages put forth for translation.
If you stick one in your ear it will take the input it
hears and translate it to something you can understand.
Arthur Dent finds it very unsettling…

Fast Food

Especially when it leaves the body!
(Ahem)
Jim Gaffigan with a laugher about
eating choices and the people who
couldn’t care less.
Convenience has a way of chipping
away at your health.
Don’t Super Size it…

Happy Boy

The Beat Farmers with an ode to those that smile
for no damned good reason.
I am one of them, and proud of it.
When all is gathered at my funeral I want my
gravestone to read “He was upbeat and brain damaged!”
I am but a simple man…

The Penultimate Supper

An absolute CLASSIC from the masters!
This is from, if I am not mistaken, the famous
“Live at the Hollywood Bowl” gig that they did
back in 1982.
Lots of great material performed by Monty
Python and Neil Innes on that occasion.
Cerebral and funny as hell…

My Parents

Adam Ferrara with a humorous set on his parents.
He’s a great stand-up comedian, lots of personality.
And his sense of humor is to die for.
Not literally, I don’t want any hate mail.
Chain mail…yes!
My parents were like that…
