I Janitor

The New Duncan Imperials with an ode to those
that clean up after you.
They sweep, mop, unclog, disinfect, squeegee,
and buff that which is drab.
I’ve been told that I’m a little on the drab side.
And yet, I’ve never been buffed.
I’ve been rebuffed.
She was way out of my league, I understood.
It still hurt.
I wonder if it hurts to be buffed…
