On the Shoulders of Freaks

Henry Phillips doing what he does best.
He started off as a serious performer and
somewhere along the way, after realizing
that he garnered major chuckles with his
between song banter, changed his approach
to be more jocular in nature.
That worked out very well for him, and us.
There’s some truth to this…

Improbability Drive

A really cool scene from the original BBC
Television series of The Hitchhiker’s Guide
to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams.
This six part series is a favorite of mine.
It’s stripped down without a lot of special
effects, relying on intellect and wit to
keep it interesting, and it works quite well.
I highly recommend it.
Did I mention it was pretty weird as well?

One-liners

Emo Philips with a star appearance at the
Montreal Comedy Festival back in 2003.
I was probably there, I cannot recall.
For many years I attended almost all of
the festivals there, great memories!
I have always considered him to be a
great stand-up comedian, and he’s still
going strong…
