Slowly He Woke…Very Slowly

This is a superb set by Greg Warren.
I am very impressed with his timing, subject matter,
and flow, he’s as good as it gets.
I couldn’t play this on the show as it needs the visuals
to really work, and work it certainly does.
A very funny piece to start the week off with…

Billy Connolly at his very best.
I’d love this guy even if he wasn’t married to
Pamela Stephenson.
The ex-wife and the dog versus the Big Yin.
Too close to call…

The Whitest Kids U’ Know doing what they do best.
Steven’s parents have issues.
Welcome to the club, kid.
My parents were the original “Honeymooners”.
Is there anyone out there reading this that have
any idea of whom I just referenced?
To the moon, Alice…

Cory Michaelis with a set about subtle racism.
We can laugh at ourselves, as a matter of fact we
SHOULD laugh at ourselves, it keeps us honest.
Most of us anyway.
He hits on some good points.
Keep moving forward…

The smell of Spring is even stronger this week.
I went with a Tom Lehrer classic on the last show.
This week, same song but instead of Tom himself
the performance was by The Bolivian Sunshine Dogs.
More melancholy and a bit less sinister (chuckle).
Don’t get me wrong, I loves me some sinister.
Variety is very important in life, and this version
was entertaining as well, plus the homage was nice.
A signature tune from Jerry Samuels.
What can best be described as a narcissism block.
The Spankers with a whimsical story about a gig
transport from Hell.
A classic by Jim Stafford.
Neal Gladstone doing what he does best, intelligent
songs with above average musicianship.
Ian Thomas lives.
And end of the world block, of sorts, including a nice
rant by Lewis Black.
A request for one particular sport normally played
on ice that does NOT require a broom.
A really entertaining performance by The Four Postmen.
Hilarity from John and Brian.
Mike’s hands are really soft.
