Yo, I’m the God of Suntan Lotion

Nate Bargatze with insights on purchasing wild
animals for fun and profit.
You’ll be the life of the party when you show up
with a rhinoceros, wildebeest, or water buffalo
at the next kegger.
No, not really, but it makes for an interesting post.
Nate’s a little perplexed as to why it’s okay to buy
and keep a man eating killing machine.
Understandable, seems like common sense would
dictate that you don’t harbor anything in your
apartment that can rip your face off while you sleep.
Other than your wife, of course.
That’s a lament for another time…

Todd Yohn from his 2007 Orange Barrels recording
with a timely piece about interplanetary travel and
trailer park lawn maintenance.
Cledus gets probed and likes it.
Ever wonder why they never land in New York City
or Los Angeles?
I hear it’s the lack of parking…

One of the funniest scenes in modern cinema.
From the 1988 flick Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, starring Michael
Caine and Steve Martin.
Their reason for being is to scam wealthy, society women out
of their riches, and the methods they utilize are interesting
to say the least.
One of the things that I appreciate about Steve Martin is his
physical comedy, he does more with body language than
any other comedian in this day and age.
He would have done very well in the silent movie era.
I laughed out loud the first time I saw this piece.
And again just a minute ago…

This is a new one from Jim Gaffigan that actually made
me laugh a few times.
He usually has me smiling from start to finish, not
knocking his stand-up at all, I just never considered
him to be a side splitter.
His performances have improved, he seems more at ease.
He’s also getting darker and more adult oriented.
This actually made me laugh the most with his
commentary after the actual piece played out.
He’s kind enough to post his own material here, take the
half a second and press that button.
A pretty funny bit…

The late, great Kip Addotta was one of a kind.
Not what you would call a famous comedian,
he still created some classic mirth that I love to
play on the show.
He did well enough, performed some familiar
pieces that will survive almost as long as the
insect being spotlighted here.
Great imagery in this one.
Gone but not forgotten…
