This is one of the more famous Bob and Ray sketches.
An absolute classic by any measurement, a well thought
out masterpiece of back-and-forth by a seasoned duo.
They started out together on a Boston radio station way
back in the day, pioneering the familiar on-air team that
radio is known for.
A lot of their material is understandably dated at this point
but there are some timeless gems that are just as good today
as when they were first aired, this is one of them.
The sense of frustration is quite noticeable, poor Mr. Goulding…

One Jerk at a Time…

Closet Shame Eater
Tommy Johnagin with a sweet set on living with
his girlfriend, hiding while snacking, and explaining
the internet to his mother.
His shtick is pretty unique, laid back, confident but
not full of himself, with just a touch of WTF.
I like his insights on living with someone…

Nations of the World
Yakko sings you a song of international renown.
The Animaniacs were quite a phenomenon when
televised back in the day, over the top and in your
face with all sorts of educational endeavors.
Very much a musical and always good for a mature
side joke or two for the adults that might be watching.
I had no idea where Paraguay was…
Dust for Prince?

The Lone Psychiatrist
A rather corny but still brilliant piece of comedy history
by the best voice artists in the business.
Made in 1955 by Stan Freberg, it stars the talented
June Foray and Daws Butler as well as Stan himself as
The Lone Psychiatrist.
Classic voices, with some great banter thrown in for
good measure, they don’t make ’em like this anymore.

150% Creepy Clowns
Dan Cummins can plumb the depths of darkness as
well as any stand-up comedian I have seen.
Not “Can’t wait until this set is over so I can kill myself!”
darkness, I’m talking about the less than shiny part of life
that we all experience on a daily basis.
I can relate to folks that despise clowns, I have nothing
against them personally but they do pose a threat on
the highway with those ridiculously over packed cars
and constant horn honking, so based on that they should
all probably die a horrible death.
Remember kids, hatred doesn’t have to make sense as
long as it makes us feel better about ourselves…
