Mystic Eight Ball

Larry Weaver with a parody of a late night
television commercial that we’ve all seen before.
I no longer watch TV but if I did I’d still hate the
silliness that occurs after all the normal people
hit the sack, the later it is, the weirder they get.
I’d buy one…

Big Family Fun

Brian Regan from his first release, 1997’s Brian Regan Live.
He was the king of the snark, nobody mastered sarcasm
quite like he did, he broke the genre of stand-up comedy
wide open with it.
I was very excited when this came out, I knew who he was
but only had a few bootleg recordings of his performances
culled from masters I acquired from Len Belzer’s Comedy
Hour show.
This is a good slice off that recording, a couple of classic
bits on this one…

Him and his banjo, what a pair…

Mating Dance of the Peacock Spider

True Facts and Ze Frank with a colorful look at arachnids.
Or maybe Ze Frank and True Facts with a look at colorful
arachnids, depends on your perspective I guess.
I have concluded that courtship in the animal kingdom is
not that much different than dating among humans.
Way too much uncertainty…

My Wife is Too Intense

Pete Correale is in a bind, his wife’s a whip cracker.
Oh, there’s a rarity.
I was snarky there for a moment, won’t happen again.
Pete’s a good stand-up comedian, he’s confident but
not overly so, his observational skills are spot on
and really add to the humor.
I just started playing him on the show and I’m already
looking for new material that I can showcase.
He’s not an elevator type of guy…
