2011 was an interesting year for movies.

Jim Gaffigan with a pretty funny piece.
He’s actually better than I’ve seen him in a while.
Don’t get me wrong, Jim’s a great stand-up comedian.
He’s put out a lot of comedy in the last few years and
some of it was plain and uninspiring, not bad, just average.
This is sharper, more mature, a real hoot at times.
No, they really don’t…

I played this exact same version on the show this week.
A thoughtful and informative intro followed by some
great vocals with an interesting lyrical composition.
In other words it’s a great tune.
Back to back, belly to belly…

Julia Child is back with a scrumptious recipe for
cooking that slow, nasty thing that keeps chasing
you around the kitchen.
Ingredients needed: A Katana, a plastic drop cloth,
a stove, large pot, and a slow, nasty thing that keeps
chasing you around the kitchen.
A dash of salt couldn’t hurt…

This is a very funny set by Darryl Lenox.
I laughed out loud a few times.
He has a unique style, at times very cerebral,
others he can street talk with the best of them.
He keeps it pretty tight, a well thought out
performance, well done.
It’s just gonna hurt and I’m sorry, indeed…
