Surviving the Fall Holidays

A great set by Tommy Drake on getting through it all.
By all, I mean the end of year hype and the activities
that go with it.
Halloween was certainly curtailed by the pandemic
this year, as I’m sure Thanksgiving and the December
religious holidays will be to a certain extent.
This guy has interesting material, a nice flow, and really
good timing, should go far…

Paul

Written by the late, great Shel Silverstein, this piece
really brings out the best in Bobby Bare.
His voice and phrasing are made for this tune.
Whimsical and humorous, gotta love it…

We’re Not Number 1

Daniel Tosh is one of the best stand-up comedians
on the planet, and quite possibly top twenty all time.
I didn’t particularly care for his television show
but his stage work is exceptional.
He has brought new tools to the art, irreverence
being the most prominent, and boy does he make
it work, nobody does audacious like he does.
I thought this would be a great piece to post, this
being an election week…

Comedy 101 Radio 11.5.20

My word is the time going by fast this year.
I consider that to be a good thing considering
how the last several months have brought a lot
of uncertainty to the mix.
This week has no theme, running with the
requests and topical issues of the day.
Kellen Erskine is a very funny man, I would
like to see more of him, new material would be
most welcome.
Went with a hunting block, it’s that time of year.
I in no way condone the endeavor, but it is fun
to poke at it a bit.
A couple of Shel Silverstein pieces as done by other
artists who understood his greatness.
I threw a relationship block in there, just ’cause.
Greg Warren is a very funny man.
Carlin rocks…still!
I can’t get enough of Cy Amundson.
