Walking through a Drive-Thru

Russ Nagel with a whimsical look at being
inebriated and trying to buy a burger.
Not to rub it in but that’s always good for a
huge laugh or two.
I did that once, wasn’t drunk, was out walking
my doggo and thought it was a good idea.
Feeling a bit peckish and knowing full well that
man’s best friend was not allowed inside I
chose the window route.
Was politely rebuffed, stated it as being an
insurance issue of epic proportions.
Understandable, I took it in stride.
I wiped a booger on the window anyway.
I’m that kind of guy…

The Winner

I’ve posted this absolute classic Shel Silverstein
song before, as sung by Bobby Bare.
Bobby’s version is the standard, as well as anyone
could ever cover it.
Kris Kristofferson on the other hand is certainly
no slouch himself, a legend with little peer.
It’s always nice to hear alternative versions, if done
well, with sincerity.
Like this one…

What is a Plethora?

From the 1986 Martin/Chase/Short flick, Three Amigos.
At least once a year I have to post this, it’s that good.
I’m not crazy about the whole movie, it is uneven and
really corny/lame in spots but in others quite funny.
This is a classic scene, a really good bit of character
acting by both principals, Alfonso Arau and Tony Plana
as El Guapo and Jefe.
Some superb lines here…
