Sonna A Formato

A superb cut off of a classic John Pinette recording.
Show Me the Buffet was John’s first BIG release.
I was sitting in the front row, center seats when he
had his One Man Show at the Montreal Just for Laughs
Comedy Festival back in 1998.
He killed, the performance was really funny and the
material mirrored the CD…a complimentary one was left
on every customer table to take home and giggle over.
He was one of the very best, he is sorely missed…

Don’t Pet the Dog

An oldie but a goodie from Pinkard and Bowden.
It’s not that old really, not compared to some of
the material that I have been known to post.
Good advice all in all, the old pooch gets it confused
with romance.
I know the feeling…

Working for Doom

A Robot Chicken classic of villainous proportions.
They’re all here…Doom, Grodd, Scarecrow, Darkseid,
Poison Ivy (I’ll say!), even Mr. Snappy is on top of things.
Gotta love the conversation when the bad guys have
some down time.
It just goes to show you, they’re just like us only a
bit on the evil side…

Gym Goals

Kathleen Madigan with a classic piece of stand-up
dealing with working out.
Or not.
I’ve always been a gym rat, goes way back to my
early days, trying to bulk up and obtain muscle
that never did materialize.
But I can definitely see why people are not inclined
to go to a fitness club, lots of issues there.
Kathleen talks about a few of them…

Germs

Everybody knows by now that this is a parody of a
Nine Inch Nails tune by the name of “Worms” that
Trent Reznor created after a bout of those infamous
stomach parasites laid him low.
Texas barbecues should be approached with caution.
Weird Al Yankovic took the concept and ran with it.
Out the back door, down the road, through a field,
over an old stone wall, under a tractor parked by the
barn, and through the woods to grandmother’s house.
The old gal proceeded to tell him that I was lying about
the whole Trent Reznor barbecue thingy, and that I
should never be trusted.
Al decided to do the parody anyway, he’s funny like that.
If he honestly feels that way about germs this pandemic
must really have him on edge…
