Kellen Erskine is a breath of fresh air in the stand-up
comedy field.
His style is a high-end snark, acute observational
skills and a very refined sense of humor.
He has some serious humor creating skills on
hand, almost ninja like.
This is a classic bit…

Helen’s First Day as Cashier Was Eventful

Happy Noodle vs Sad Noodle
The late, great Logan Whitehurst with a lively tune about pasta.
There’s a moral here somewhere, damned if I can find it.
Cool stuff from a talented man.
He might have shuffled off the mortal coil but his material
lives on, to all our benefit…
I Say Three…Tops!

The Other Educated Monkey
A very interesting piece by the great Ivor Biggun.
He’s a British icon, king of the double entendres, and
a gentleman through and through.
Crafty with a lyric, and a pretty decent story teller.
He aspires to retire, in a well protected environment.
That just might work out.
I love to play this on the show…
I Saved the Photo!

Camping
Jim Gaffigan with a lighthearted look at the great outdoors.
By way of sleeping bags, grizzly bears and mosquitos.
Not in so many words, but I read between the lines…
I’ll Drink to That!

Alimony
This is a special song that I just played on the show.
Superstars galore in this one.
Shel Silverstein wrote it.
The principal singers are the late, greats Mel Tillis,
Jerry Reed, and Waylon Jennings with the still
active Bobby Bare.
Every last one of them is a bonafide star.
Jerry Reed is one of only a handful of Chet Atkins
Certified Guitar Players ever given that status.
He was also a decent actor and starred in a few flicks
back in the 1970’s.
Mel Tillis was a very successful singer songwriter for
many years, and one of the first “outlaw” C&W artists.
Waylon Jennings personified the “outlaw” image and
was quite a legend as well.
Bobby Bare was all that and more.
Shel even sings back-up!
The gang has thinned but their material lives on.
And that is as it should be…
Heathen!
