You’re Always Welcome at Our House

Oh, I do loves me some dark comedy.
Shel Silverstein penned and sings this wonderful tune.
And by “wonderful” I mean…twisted, disturbing, fiendish,
horrific, scary, and very funny!
All the things I look for in a woman.
In a song…in a song, I meant.
The lyrics are NOT what you would expect in a children’s ditty.
But Shel Silverstein ain’t your ordinary song writer!
Don’t go there…

Home Depot

A quick slice of Pete Correale doing what he does best.
He has a quirky, offbeat way of performing stand-up.
Quirky, irreverent, observant, with just a touch of snark
You can certainly tell he’s a New Yorker…

The Dentist Scene

This splendidly dark slice of sickness is part of the
classic 1986 flick Little Shop of Horrors.
I’m not a huge fan of musicals, but this one deserves
my respect, for many reasons.
It stars Rick Moranis as Seymour, Steve Martin as
the dentist, Bill Murray as a patient of said dentist,
an Levi Stubbs as Audrey, not to mention a few
others that rocked the house as well.
This is actually a remake of an early 60’s version.
The characters are over the top and a just wonderful
to watch, especially this infamous scene with Steve
Martin and Bill Murray…
