The Old Me

A Little More Gauze

Mike Nichols and Elaine May performed the majority of
their material back in the 1950’s, most of it is not at all
dated as it was VERY much ahead of it’s time.
Tremendous stuff, top notch in every way, very visual in
it’s approach, you can see what they are performing.
And that is the nature of my current comedic lament.
They don’t make radio sketches anymore, it’s all geared
for television or the cinema, it uses a visual component
that does not translate well to radio’s audio only approach.
Having said that I will keep playing the classics, like this one.
