This is a find.
I was going to post “The Frozen Logger”, a classic tune
from 1928 written by James Stevens and made famous
by many people, including The Weavers.
Their version has a certain charm to it, my go-to on the show.
Then I stumbled onto this version, complete with animation!

The Smothers Brothers are godlike in the world of comedy.
They have created superb comedy recordings over the years
and had a top rated television program that was as good as
it gets back in the late 1960’s.
Still alive and kicking, they no longer tour but their excellence
lives on.
This is a cute one, lots of faux sibling rivalry and gentle ribbing…

The late, great Richard Jeni was one of the funniest
stand-up comedians on the planet at his peak.
Top ten of all time, in my humble opinion.
This is a snappy, snarky look at one of his first
full time jobs…

Harry Chapin performed in front of a live crowd in 1975.
He went through most of his hits to date, including this
semi-novelty piece much to the audience’s delight.
He had a ton of fun doing it, you can tell.
The simian feedback was quite positive…

I’m not a meat eater myself, but I can remember when
biting a dead animal was not unusual.
I just gnaw on live ones now, they get annoyed but
they live to tell the tale another day.
He puts some effort into this one, the shiny new IV Bag
is a dead give-a-way…
