Bees Vs Wasps…Know Your Buzzy Things!

A story like no other!
I’ve heard this articulate, very interesting story before
by John Wing and I laugh every damned time.
One of the best stand-up comedians to come out of
Canada, and that’s saying a lot, with a style all his own
and a top notch intellect.
He’s as funny as they come, and this piece ranks (yup)
right up there with the best of them.
Some great lines here…

An absolutely morbid classic from the late, great Shel Silverstein.
He must have had a ball writing this one.
Shel wrote wonderful stuff that was uplifting, and he penned things
that were dark, both approaches have their moments.
Today is Monday, I’m sick of snow, I still have several feet of it in
my yard, and I want my mommy.
Yeah, I know the Vernal Equinox (Spring) starts today but tomorrow is the
first FULL day, I’ll get all fluffy on you then.
There you have it, starting the week off with dark comedy seems fitting…

Keeping with the darker side of humor I post Kurt Weitzmann with glee.
This is pretty recent in the scheme of things (2003) and it is some of the
last radio friendly comedy sketch material you will ever hear.
Nobody makes radio only skits anymore, the visual component is a
large piece of the product now a days.
A pity really, the imagination is no longer a necessary part of the
equation, a bit less entertainment perhaps, time will tell.
Amber sounds like an interesting young lady…

A splendid example of great stand-up, Pete Correale at his best.
You can tell he spends some time thinking his material through.
He seems more polished than ever, glad to see this.
He does understand that there is a time and a place for a good
practical joke…

A wonderful display of talent from both singer and composer of
this superb little ditty, poking fun at the usual beer commercials
found on television in that era.
“Taste Bad…Less Healthy!” I believe was the refrain, although I
may remember it incorrectly partly due to my over consumption
of said product.
Shel Silverstein wrote it, his pal Bob Gibson sings it, I love it.
There is nothing more you really need to know…
