St. George & the Dragonet

A very humorous effort by three of the most talented
voice over artists the world has ever seen.
Stan Freberg, June Foray, and Daws Butler are the three
voices you will hear on this classic.
Absolutely insane skills on display here.
Daws being one of the most vexing of them all.
I have heard the MANY voices he had done when he
was at his peak and it is astounding what he could do.
His diversity was top notch, so many times I would
listen to the many characters he would voice and came
away thinking “No way is that the same guy!”.
Check out his “knave” impression!
This is a great skit, even better if you get the parody
references to Dragnet…

I, Janitor

The New Duncan Imperials with a really good tune about
living the life of a custodian.
I used to make fun of the less fortunate when I was younger.
Being a janitor was demeaning, slave work in my young eyes.
Now that I’ve been consistently employed for many years I
have seen the light, I want something simple and easy to do.
Sweeping out an elementary school bathroom is what I aspire
to do, I even have my own mop!
I’m shootin’ for it…

Cliche Heaven

The late, great Ken Nordine was an icon.
He started doing voice over work in the 1940’s
and he stopped in 2019 when he was 98 years old!
He was whimsical at times, dark and foreboding on
occasion, and humorous every now and then.
Always interesting.
He works the familiar on this one…

A Place for My Stuff

I don’t think I’ve posted this one before, me bad.
This is a classic by any standard, even more so
considering it’s a George Carlin creation.
He was the #1 stand-up comedian of all time in
my book, prolific as all Hell and twice as humorous.
This is a well crafted bit, he worked mightily on this.
Some great lines here…
