A Shel Silverstein classic as sung by his old friend Bobby Bare.
Quite the conundrum, part fish/part girl.
Depends on…nope, not going there!

A more vibrant performance from Kellen than we are use to.
Still the same splendid snark, with only half the calories.
A pretty funny performance all in all.
Until he absolutely loses it and goes after a bald guy in the
third row with a hatchet.
Thought he was mocking him, the shaved head and Hush Puppies
were a dead give-a-way.
Things got even more interesting after that, lots of broken
bones but, thankfully, very little blood.
I’m lying through my teeth, just watch the damned video…

The late, stupendous Stan Freberg is known for his incredible voice acting,
his parodies, and his novelty recordings, as well as his contributions to
early television children’s shows and the latter day commercials he produced.
By all manners of measurement a very productive life, all in all.
One of his masterpieces was the recording that this was taken from, Stan
Freberg Presents: The United States of America, from 1961.
Everything about this release is pure classic gold.
A top notch parody, satire at its finest, and a very humorous look at our
history as a country.
This is a grand example of what he was capable of…
