Good ol’ Mel Brooks, real name Melvin James Kaminsky, there
\nare not enough compliments on the planet to extol all
\nof his virtues, in my humble opinion.
\nHis contributions to the world of comedy are legendary…
\nYour Show of Shows, 2000 Year Old Man, Get Smart,
\nThe Producers, Blazing Saddles, History of the World part 1,
\nSpace Balls, Young Frankenstein and MANY more!
\nYoung Frankenstein, is a favorite of mine for many reasons.
\nHe uses some of the best comedic talents of the time and they
\nall do a stupendous job…Gene Wilder, Marty Feldman,
\nTeri Garr, Madeline Kahn, Cloris Leachman and others are
\nperfect for their roles, couldn’t have pick a better cast.
\nOne of the parts that stands out is a scene where Frankenstein
\n(Peter Boyle) is wandering, tired and lonely, through the
\nwoods when he stumbles onto a rustic cabin lived in by an
\nold hermit (Gene Hackman).
\nThis scene is a parody of the classic Bride of Frankenstein
\nmovie from the 1930s, the original is one of the most touching
\npieces of cinema ever created, and to see what Mel has done
\nwith it, well…it’s a real hoot!<\/p>\n
