I am sad beyond words.
\nJohn Pinette, stand-up comedian extraordinaire, passed away
\nover the weekend, his death was attributed to natural causes.
\nHe had ongoing health problems, most of which concerned his
\nweight and related issues.
\nI was fortunate enough to see him live on more than one
\noccasion and came away from his gigs smiling broadly.
\nWhen he first came into the limelight I thought to myself
\n“great, a heavy comic who is using his massive weight as the
\ncenter of his act…he won’t last!”
\nI actually tried to ignore his talents and pass him off as
\na one trick pony.
\nI was wrong.
\nHe was very funny, knew what he had, and made the most of it.
\nI’ll be posting some of his work this week and I will give
\nhim a well deserved tribute on the show.
\nGoodbye John, you made the world a better place and we
\nthank you for it!<\/p>\n
