Or maybe Thoughts for the Weak might be more like it.
\nJust wanted to take a moment to clarify some things.
\nSome folks have questioned why I don’t post my daily
\ncomedy infusion with more well known and popular
\nvideos, specifically stand-up comedians, that might be
\na bit more entertaining than what they are seeing.
\nIt gets a bit complicated but it boils down to the
\nusual Profanity\/Indecency rules that I adhere to in
\nthe radio station.
\nThe FCC mandates that radio stations can play material
\nthat might be profane AFTER a certain time of day,
\nusually 8pm, anything before that would break their
\nrules about such things.
\nUsually radio stations will add a cushion to that rule
\nand refrain from anything profane until AFTER 10pm,
\njust to be on the safe side.
\nYou must NEVER play anything indecent, the FCC has
\nhuge fines in place should a radio station ever do that.
\nIt is in the tens of thousands of dollars, and that is
\nenough to break most radio station budgets for all but
\nthe big boys…they know who they are.
\nHaving said that, I have all sorts of listeners from
\ndifferent age groups that listen to the show and also
\nperuse the posts that I create on a daily basis.
\nBecause of the diversity I choose to hold back a bit
\nso as not to offend, self censorship if you will.
\nOccasionally a piece will be so darned funny that I
\nwill post it even if it has language in it that
\nyour Grandma would only utter if she has been drinking
\nheavily, and I usually explain the piece before hand.
\nLately I have been thinking about modifying that policy
\na bit, posting a bit more of the adult material.
\nI had an epiphany this morning.
\nI put together a list of my all time favorite stand-up
\ncomedians and realized that it was very different than
\nwhat I usually post on a daily basis.
\nMy top ten might consist of Carlin, Jeni, Tosh, Hicks
\nand a few others.
\nIt hit me that I never post them because their best bits
\nare quite profane…slapped my fat head and said “Whaaaat?!”
\nwhich I am want to do whenever something overwhelms my
\nlogic circuits.
\nI’m going to modify that approach from here on in.
\nThere are some hilarious bits out there that demand
\nperusal and review and I will post same.
\nI will of course give you the old NSFW designation
\nwhenever possible.
\nAs always, if you have any complaints please let me know and I’ll
