Labor Day show!
A Blue Collar affair of the highest order.
Or lowest, depending on your standards.
Lots of the common man this week, roll
up your sleeves and get to work material.
I played a one of a kind piece of comedic
history with Chevy Chase and Richard Pryor
from the first season of Saturday Night Live
called Word Association, an absolute
classic from 1975.
Also aired a splendid bit by the late, great
Dennis Wolfberg, a really smart and erudite
stand-up comedian who passed away from
cancer only a few years into his career
back in 1994.
I was playing him on the show when he was
packing the clubs, I’d love to get some of his
classic material in good condition, he never
released much on audio when he was alive.
I broke tradition by airing the show after
the holiday and not before.
It made sense, the way things have fallen
into place in 2019.
I don’t think I have ever worked harder
than I have this year, I’m sure a lot of
folks think that way as well.
