Strangely enough there were no technical errors this week.
Something usually goes wrong with my tablet, the control
board or the transmitter during the show, but not this week.
I played an odd piece, Sidekick Heaven, by Riders in the Sky.
It spotlights the odd trope of strange, twisted, yet useful
little men that helped certain types of cowboys back in the day.
The stereotype was usually a bearded, grizzled old coot that
worked hard, knew handy things, and talked like he had a
small chipmunk in his mouth.
What is odd about playing it is this, they don’t even make
cowboy oriented westerns anymore, that was a thing back
when I was a weeeeee lad.
Does anybody even KNOW what a sidekick even is at this point?
Much less…do they care?
Still, it’s a part of history, I put it forth for comedic digestion.
The blocks were silly, nothing truly cohesive, stretched it out.
Pants, Money, and Disease.
Don’t try to make sense of it all, it just IS.
Lewis Black shows his stuff.
The Whitest Kids U’ Know with a pretty funny bus sketch.
Alonzo knows his bears.
Gotta love the voice of the late, great Paul Frees.
Logan Whitehurst contributes a great one!
Bob and Ray are legends for a reason.
Dan Cummins got preachy and it went very well.
A CLASSIC comedy sketch by Monty Python, even more
superb if you saw the movie.
Cy Amundson kills it.
Kellen Erskine gets the top spot.
