{"id":39189,"date":"2022-03-11T00:07:00","date_gmt":"2022-03-11T05:07:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/comedy101radio.com\/?p=39189"},"modified":"2022-03-13T20:19:15","modified_gmt":"2022-03-14T01:19:15","slug":"comedy-101-radio-3-10-22","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/comedy101radio.com\/?p=39189","title":{"rendered":"Comedy 101 Radio 3.10.22"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I say this a lot when I post the playlists but this weeks was a<br>pretty interesting show, for a lot of reasons.<br>The Man with Massive Toenails is a very welcome throwback <br>to a time when you could write a comedy song about damned<br>near anything&#8230;massive toenails?!<br>A classic by Rowan Atkinson, a piece as smart as they come.<br>Norman and Melissa with a superb parody of the Max Ehrmann masterpiece written in the early 1900&#8217;s.<br>An Outcast block (sorta).<br>The Undertaker, the infamous Monty Python television show sketch. <br>They got the whole audience to participate in it with mock outrage, <br>not informing the audience watching at home was pure genius.<br>Party block with Brian Regan leading the way.<br>Cold block, with a REALLY cold non-humorous piece at the end by<br>Celestial Navigations and the late, great Geoffrey Lewis.<br>It is most certainly NOT funny, but I play it from time to time with<br>the philosophy in mind that to truly appreciate beauty one must<br>know what ugly is&#8230;that piece evokes many strong emotions, all of<br>which are decidedly not positive, with just the smallest glimmer of<br>hope to propel you forward.<br>Contrast, my friends, it&#8217;s all in the contrast.<br>I threw a parody in there of a classic song that is not what it seems<br>to be at all, it seems romantic until you break it all down.<br>June Carter with a very forced country twang.<br>Cy Amundson gets the top spot with a superb piece of stand-up.<br>Onward and that-a-way&#8230;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Man with Massive Toenails- Chuck Lucky &amp;
