Monty Python was, is and always will be the most prolific
\nand funniest sketch comedy troupe on the planet.
\nTo say that they changed the way comedy sketches were
\nmade is a drastic understatement.
\nIn 1969 BBC Television aired the first show of Monty Python’s
\nFlying Circus and the world has not been the same since.
\nI absolutely worship the ground they walk on, and I play
\nthem on the show all the time.
\nTheir classic sketches are so many that to mention them all here
\nwould wear my fingers out.
\nThe Argument Clinic, Cheese Shop, Ann Elk, The Penultimate Supper,
\nCrunchy Frog, The Spanish Inquisition, The Parrot Sketch and many,
\nMANY more!
\nWhat I find the most fascinating is that they shaped the sketches
\ninto classics all without the use of a punchline!
\nThey have confirmed this on many an interview that they’ve given over
\nthe years.
\nJust incredible!
\nThis piece is certainly a classic, thought it is basically the same
\nskit that you have heard on their audio recordings it has some subtle
\nchanges.
\nThat’s part of the MP magic though, they constantly changed things around.
\nSometimes it was the dialogue, other times it was the actors themselves.
\nThe lines are a little different, as is a certain prop.
\nStill a superb sketch, no matter how you look at it.
